The former president's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
The rising star boasts considerable online following
Kai Trump can count on numerous well-known cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to participate at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and frequently matches against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"To me, he's simply a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, making him quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments recently and has position 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can get advice from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He suggested me to compete, relax, and go with the flow."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation exposes the sport to wider groups, especially among the next generation.
The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
