The First Xbox Game Pass Additions of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.
Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for the Xbox brand. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation for the first time. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with strong games on its premier subscription.
The Current Inclusions
A pair of titles that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Starting January 13th, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, previously described as "a superb mixture of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games set to join the catalog deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week — and you should try it regardless of whether you played the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Ultimate tier members also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Robust Selection of Games
In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they don't represent tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. It offers a healthy blend of past releases that passed you by and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — transforming them into ideal prospects to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
