More than two weeks following the shocking loss of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to express about his personal sorrow.

"Adequate time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started passing more hours together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor shared archival material from the production, commenting that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The movie is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the perfect person to direct it," Elwes wrote.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He ended with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he comprehended the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' medical examiner's reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to restrict the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" connected to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

In the wake of the tragedy, public personalities shared varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the statements as "disappointing" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by remarking that an aide could have intervened when the impulse to speak on the passing was made.
