British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Nigeria Following Fatal Road Accident

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on late Wednesday. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on Monday, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The boxer had remained in the hospital while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter had said on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, confirmed in an update on X that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.

“Anthony and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

Honoring the Deceased

Those who lost their lives were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. It was also noted that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the passing of his two close friends.”

This update on his health comes as the sports world offered sympathy for the star in the aftermath of the heartbreaking incident.
